When I came across the white bedding collections from Pottery Barn the other day I was pretty much in love with it — I was day dreaming (literally) with those gorgeous duvets, pillowcases, shams, and luxurious fabrics being part of my, bed. SO after going through each and all of the styles (thank you ladies at the Corte Madera store for being so patient with me), I fell in love with these two… the Hadley Ruched and the quilted Candlewick. Since white has been my all-time favorite color palette, I knew it would be the perfect time to play mix and match with the textures that were equally grand in every level. As you can see, I like the way the different styles complemented each other, but most importantly, I love the fact that this is extremely soft, cozy, and so lightweight on the body - which makes all the difference in the world! I love it, and I love the clean and coolness that brings to the bedroom. I also thought it would be a good idea to throw some extra pillows in between the Euro Shams and the standard ones, just to add some dimension in it. For those I used these linen tailored. What do you gals think?
And the art on the wall is from my beloved mama who had a talent for all things artistic, whether painting, sculpting, or decorating. I miss her dearly... That specific paint plus the bedside book + my old Mary Jane definitely brings me fond memories of my childhood that was filled with love and creativity. Your thoughts and comments would be super sweet to me.
Assim que avistei a nova coleção de cama, toda branquinha, da Pottery Barn foi simplesmente amor à primeira vista - comecei a sonhar acordada (literalmente) com aqueles lindos edredons, fronhas, e tecidos luxuosos fazendo parte da minha cama. Depois de bisbilhotar por um bom tempo no departamento de bedding da loja, acabei me decidindo por esses dois estilos… o Hadley Ruched e o Candlewick. Como havia optado pela cor branca, achei que seria bacana poder brincar um pouco com as texturas de tecidos e intercalá-los entre um ao outro, mas o que eu mais gostei, foi que o Ruched Hadley é um tecido extremamente aconchegante, gostoso de se tocar, e a leve sobre o corpo - no qual faz toda a diferença do mundo! Simplesmente amei, assim também como a suavidade e delicadeza em que o ambiente ficou. Também achei que seria uma idéia interessante em adicionar um jogo básico de linho entre o Euro Shams e os acolchoadados da Candlewick, só para adicionar um pouco mais volume entre eles. O que vocês acharam meninas?
E a arte na parede foi pintada pela minha querida mãe que sempre teve um talento todo especial por tudo que fosse relacionado à arte, como a pintura, escultura, ou decoração. Essa pintura em especial, assim como o livro de cabeceira e o meu antigo Mary Jane, sem dúvida me traz doces e boas lembranças da minha infância, que foi cheia de amor e criatividade. Seu comentário, ou uma notinha simplesmente, seria o máximo para mim.
